Saskatchewan Joins The Finning Ride For United Way

Stacey Wiebe, a sales representative in Regina, has been itching to join the Finning Motorcycle Ride ever since Finning expanded into Saskatchewan a year ago. “On day one, I found out there was a ride and I said sign me up.” Stacey has been riding on two wheels ever since he was eight when he got his first dirt bike and later in high school he graduated to a Yamaha Virago 750 motorcycle. Now any chance he gets, he likes to hop on his bike and ride. “Half the time with my buddies and half the time with my wife on the back,” said Stacey. He’s no stranger to travelling a distance to ride in a bike rally. Every year he takes the 850-kilometre trek to South Dakota for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and now he’ll have another 800 kilometres under his belt when he rides to Edmonton to participate in Finning’s 7th Annual Motorcycle Ride for the United Way.

On September 17, Stacey will be in the starting line up with four other riders he recruited from Finning’s Saskatchewan operations. “I wanted to show the rest of Finning that us Saskatchewan folk know how to ride…plus it’s all in support of a great cause,” said Stacey. Fellow riders include Regina industry sales manager Brent Kane, retiree David Nederhoff, Saskatoon products & services sales manager Garry Hadley, and Regina southern sales manager Tim Walchuk. There is only one stipulation jokes Stacey, “If it’s snowing, I’m not going”.
