Finning Employee Fatally Injured at Suncor Oil Sands Facility

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 8, 2008) - Finning International Inc. (TSX:FTT) regretfully reports that one of its Finning (Canada) employees died today from injuries sustained in an incident at the Suncor oil sands mining operation, north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. A second person involved in the incident, a Suncor employee, is being treated at hospital for injuries.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. The RCMP has been notified and an Occupational Health and Safety investigation is under way. Along with Suncor, Finning will be participating in the investigation.
