Finning Power Systems Preventative Maintenance is our planned maintenance and inspection program, custom-designed to help reduce generator operating cost, prolong component life and increase the overall reliability of your equipment. The program provides expert support and service backed by experience in countless applications of every size, in every sector. All of our services currently meet and are governed by the CSA C282-15 Code. We offer the following services:

Load Bank Testing

Load Bank testing confirms the ability of your generator to produce a given kW and attain proper engine operating temperature.

The benefits of load bank testing are:

  • Exercising the cooling system
  • Reseat engine piston rings in the cylinder liners
  • Burn off carbon deposits in the combustion chamber, injector nozzles, piston rings, turbo charger and exhaust system
  • Dissipate condensation build up on the generator copper windings
  • Testing ensures your unit is CSA compliant
  • Test engine shut downs

Load Bank testing can be preformed independently or in conjunction with any of the service levels we provide. Although, it is recommended every 12 months for standby applications and every 36 months for load management applications (consists of a 2 hour test unless otherwise stated).
