Catplant Ltd Sign Cat 374FL Deal At Hillhead

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29 TH, 2016

Independent limestone quarry and landfill specialist Catplant has today 29th June signed a deal at Hillhead 2016 for a Cat 374FL mass excavator that will join their existing Caterpillar fleet of 30 units working in its limestone quarry in Doncaster.

Commenting on the deal, Syd Boulton, owner of Catplant Ltd said: “The unit will replace our aging Cat 375B unit, in a deal which will support our drive to increase fuel efficiency and production. Monitored by Product Link™ the unit will be ripping rock from the quarry face and loading it into our mobile crusher, so uptime will be very important.

“This is why we are working with Finning to enhance our capabilities through the use of technology and a robust maintenance regime. This has included the retrofitting of our fleet with Product Link and also the training of our team to use the data we receive more effectively. To date we have been very impressed with the information we now have to hand and can see this being increasingly important as we look to reduce costs further in the future.”
