Finning Appoints New President for Finning (Canada)

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 5, 2008) - Finning International Inc. ("Finning") (TSX:FTT) announced today that David E. Parker, currently Senior Vice President, Finning (Canada) has been appointed to the position of President, Finning (Canada).

A 10 year veteran of Finning (Canada), Mr. Parker is a proven business leader who brings extensive executive level experience and a well rounded background to this role. Mr. Parker started his career with Finning (Canada) in 1998 and in 2000, was promoted to Vice President & Controller. He assumed operational responsibilities in 2001 when he was appointed Vice President, Customer Support Services. In 2005 he was appointed Group Vice President where he had responsibility for Mining, Product Support Strategy and Operations, as well as Information Technology. In 2006, he was appointed Senior Vice President. Prior to joining Finning, Mr. Parker held senior positions with EPCOR Utilities Inc. including Corporate Controller. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta as well as a Chartered Accountant designation.

After many years of dedicated service to Finning, Ian Reid, currently President of Finning (Canada) has decided to take early retirement. He will remain with Finning until September 1, 2008 to assist with the transition, and thereafter on a consultative basis.
