Code of Conduct
One important way that Finning promotes our values and
communicates the behaviours and actions expected from our employees is through
our Code of Conduct (“Code”).
The Code provides a common set of principles and key policies
to help guide day-to-day behaviour in support of our values. All employees are
required to review the Code annually and affirm that they understand their role
in upholding Finning’s ethical standards.
An essential component of the Company’s Code of Conduct is the
Whistleblower Policy, which mandates that directors, officers and employees
report suspected breaches of the Code. The Whistleblower Policy supports
Finning’s value for open and honest communication by protecting employees from
adverse employment consequences when reporting potential breaches.
As an alternative to reporting perceived Code violations
through normal business channels, which include one’s immediate supervisor,
human resources personnel or a senior management representative, the
Whistleblower Policy also allows employees to make reports to Finning’s
compliance officer or anonymously to an independent third party.
