Course Length: 1 x 10-hour days
Target Audience: Electricians
Have participants become familiar with location of components, operation, maintenance, and safe shutdown procedures as related to the Machine Electric Drive systems on the 79X AC Tier IV Off-Highway Truck.
PPE Required
Participants must provide their own safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, gloves, hard hat, hearing protection, and coveralls with Hi-Visibility Markings
Familiarity with Service Information System 2.0 and Electronic Technician will be an asset for this course.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Electric Drive System
- Identify the major components for the Electric Drive system
- Describe the operation of the Electric Drive system
- Identify system warnings, and associated codes with the Electric Drive system
- Preform a safe shutdown on the Electric Drive system
- Insulation Testing
- Phase Module Testing
