One of these is the diesel driven Rig Safe generator, manufactured by Caterpillar and housed in a custom designed offshore rental package that comprises a canopied generator in a DNV 2.7-1 certified lifting frame. The packages are designed for maximum flexibility and all kinds of operations, and classified for use in non-hazardous zones.

To optimally serve the offshore industry, Finning Power Rental offers a range of ancillaries for rent, specially designed for offshore applications. Our diesel fuel tanks are both efficient and environmentally-safe. With technical competence and a fierce commitment to quality, Finning Power Rental’s goal is to make sure you can expect the very best product on the market, whether you are in search for a specific fuel tank or one of the (offshore) Cat® generators.
Our offshore fuel tanks are UN compliant and in conformity with IBC environmental regulations.
The offshore fuel tanks allow the environmentally safe supply of fuel to Finning Power Rental equipment that requires an auxiliary source or if the equipment’s own internal tank does not allow sufficient running time.
The robust CSC-plated, pressure-tested containers ensure the safe and secure containment of bulk fuel supplies for power generation and temperature control equipment and are equipped with:
- Quick release couplings
- Fork lift pockets on all four sides
- Lockable, vandal-proof access hatch
Special offshore low-voltage transformer
We also supply special 1500 and 2200 kVA offshore low-voltage transformers for hire. These NORSOK transformers are housed in robust canopies or CSC (Container Safety Convention) plated 10 and 20ft containers. They also have a wide range of protections including fire, gas, smoke, high-temperature, and earth fault detection. These units work at 50 and 60 Hz meaning our special low-voltage transformers are perfect to get the required job done.
