After months of prep and competing in the local and regional finals, Jaus Neigum went on to win the title of ‘World’s Best Operator’ at the Global Operator Challenge in Vegas at CONEXPO! Congratulations, Jaus!
And Jaus wasn’t the only Finning customer to be represented in the Global Operator Challenge. Tommy Murphy from Ireland took home second place in the challenge! Congrats, Tommy!
Our very own Jaus Neigum from Medicine Hat, AB, was the winner of the North American Regional Operator Challenge. He now heads to Las Vegas to compete on the global stage at ConExpo in March, 2020.
From our four initial challenges, we took the top three overall times to determine our champions to be sent to compete at the North American Regional Operator Challenge in North, Carolina, in October 2019. Those finalists were Jaus Neigum, Cody Wilson and Larry Mason.
Together, they journeyed to North Carolina to compete for the title of Americas West Champion and a chance to compete on the world stage in Las Vegas at the Global Operator Challenge.
Finning’s first-ever Operator Challenge events took place during the summer of 2019 in Saskatoon, Kamloops, Surrey and Edmonton. A total of 229 operators from Western Canada competed for the chance to be sent to Caterpillar’s Global Operator Challenge.
