Finning Canada, the Cat® dealer in B.C. and across Western Canada, is proud to announce a three-year sponsorship with Allan Brooks Nature Centre, a not-for-profit organization that provides opportunities for youth and families to gain a greater awareness and understanding of the rich natural resources of the Okanagan region.

Allan Brooks Nature Centre holds a valley-wide reputation as a leader in environmental education, land-use planning and habitat stewardship. Activities at the Nature Centre have recently expanded to include unique live bird-of-prey programs that allow all-ages visitors to experience the thrill of getting up close to some of nature’s top predators in the grasslands.

The sponsorship is part of Finning Canada’s ongoing commitment to support the communities they operate in.

“Finning Canada is pleased to partner with the Allan Brooks Nature Centre by supporting science-based education programs to help inspire young minds and build awareness and respect for our natural environment,” says Scott Wakefield, Finning branch manager, Vernon.

Allan Brooks Nature Centre executive director Aaron Deans says, “We are thrilled to receive the support of Finning Canada. The alignment of our organizations reaffirms the relevance and value of building community and increasing public interest and appreciation of keeping nature in our future.”

Finning Canada’s sponsorship provides Allan Brooks with operational funding support to deliver youth-focused nature educational programming on and off-site, which during the past year engaged a record 2,865 children on-site and over 12,000 off-site at events throughout the Okanagan region.
