THURSDAY, MARCH 19 TH, 2015

East Midland truck dealer HRVS group this month signed to become the latest UK Cat® Compact Dealer. The firm is looking to offer broader solutions to their current customers, whilst also venturing into new markets with its expanded portfolio of construction specific products.

Presently the second largest MAN truck dealer in the UK, HRVS group already distributes MAN machines and Isuzu’s range of trucks within Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. The business won Repair and Maintenance Workshop of the Year at the 2013 Motor Transport Awards, with two of its branches winning MAN Dealer of the Year in consecutive years for 2013 and 2014.

Keith Sims, Director at HRVS Group, commented on the deal: “We see this as a fantastic opportunity for HRVS to increase our profitability and presence in the industry. Not only will the Cat products create synergies by offering our current customers broader solutions, but they also expand our reach into business areas we haven’t previously competed in.”

“We also look forward to bringing our service capabilities to the construction market where HRVS strengths are undisputed. We have a fleet of 18 service vehicles on the road at any one time, complementing the 90 skilled Technicians and 24 parts staff operating in our workshops, servicing our customers’ needs on a 24/7 basis. We will be launching our Cat Compact sales facility within the next few weeks at Sheffield, including a new Cat dedicated showroom at our Group Headquarters in Ripley Derbyshire.”

John Tierney, Cat Compact Dealer Manager for Finning UK and Ireland, added: “We see huge potential in bringing Keith and the team into the Finning network of Cat Compact Dealers. HRVS has a huge reach across the East Midlands area, a territory we haven’t yet been active in from a Cat Compact perspective. Having placed 400 machines into the UK market last year, we are confident that 2015 should see growth for Finning in the compact market.”
