Finning joins Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations program

Finning Canada has joined the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program, with the goal of becoming certified by the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business in 2027.

As one of Canada's largest equipment dealers across Western Canada, we recognize the vital importance of accountable, measurable Indigenous partnerships. The PAIR program will provide independent verification of our progress while ensuring our relationships deliver real economic benefits to the Indigenous communities where we operate.

PAIR certification requires demonstrated excellence across leadership, employment, business development and community engagement— areas where we have already invested significantly and now seek independent verification to drive continuous improvement.

"The PAIR certification demonstrates our commitment to building strong economic partnerships with Indigenous communities across Western Canada," said Cody Broster, Head of Coals and Metals Mining. "It's about creating mutual benefit and economic reconciliation over the long term."

"Indigenous communities want partners, not just vendors," said Harold Reimer, Indigenous Business Development Manager at Finning. "PAIR committed means we're  transparent in reporting on hiring, procurement, and community investment. Our communities will see exactly how we're performing and where we need to improve."
