The Hope Truck:
A Cat 793F rebuilt for reconciliation
We were proud to participate in the Hope Truck celebration event at the Saulteau First Nations Cultural Centre. The Hope Truck Fundraiser is a collaborative initiative dedicated to supporting youth and advancing reconciliation in the communities of West Moberly, Saulteau, Chetwynd, and Tumbler Ridge.
Finning was a platinum sponsor in their fundraiser alongside our customers Conuma and West Moberly Industrial MetalWorks.
The Hope Truck, a 793F haul truck recently rebuilt by our Prince George team and assembled by our technicians in Tumbler Ridge, exceeded all expectations, hauling over 9,000 loads and raising more than $115,000 for youth programs across th four communities.
“For us, the Hope Truck proved something important: when different partners discover they share the same values… the belief that when communities support your business, you find ways to support them back. It shows that the mining industry, suppliers, and communities can create impact that none could achieve alone.” – Allen Kramer, Regional Mining Manager
The Hope Truck demonstrated that when mining companies, suppliers, and communities align their values, the impact multiplies exponentially. Partnerships like these can drive both business success and community good.
