Sales

Proud to Sell Cat and Finning

When you’re on the Finning sales team, you’re selling products and services you can take pride in. Whether a wheel loader, a part, or a service, you know you’re making a difference for your customers and truly meeting their needs.

Sales is a critical role in any organization. That’s why Finning ensures you have the support you need by providing training on everything you need to know to be successful. This includes sales training for people who already have excellent technical knowledge, and loads of technical training for anyone who wants it. Basically, if you want to learn about something related to our business, we have the ability to train you!

Internal Sales

Our internal sales positions are great for getting started at Finning. All you need is some sales experience or experience in the heavy equipment industry and great customer service skills; we’ll teach you everything else you need to know to launch your new career.

Our internal sales team members each have a defined territory. Their customers have small fleets of just one or two pieces of Cat equipment, but they’re just as important as our largest customer. As a member of the internal sales team, you have the opportunity to ensure their needs are met while helping Finning continue to thrive. Some people find they love the position and stay in it for the rest of their career while others move into other roles at Finning as their interests evolve.

External Sales

Our external sales team offers the opportunity to sell Cat equipment or to sell parts and services. If you have previous experience selling industrial technical products, apply to be a member of our equipment sales team and we’ll get you up to speed on Cat products. If you have mechanical experience and you know you’d be great at sales, talk to us about becoming a member of the parts and service sales team.

Get Started in Sales

Have you always dreamed of selling for Finning but lack the experience? Our internship program will teach you everything you need to know to become a successful Finning salesperson.

Meet Our People

Becky Giberson, Mining Sales Manager

One word that describes my Finning career: Unexpected

"I thought my first job here would be my steppingstone—I’d gain some marketing experience and go get a job somewhere else. But it just turned into this really fantastic place to work."

Becky started in a marketing assistant role in 2004. She now takes care of all our coal customers in Alberta and Saskatchewan, ensuring they have the equipment, parts, and service they need to be successful. It’s an ideal job for her because she’s developed a passion for both customer support and Cat draglines and shovels.

"For me, it’s all about learning and development. I’ve had the opportunity to take internal courses and the Management Essentials program at the University of Alberta, as well as to get product knowledge and training from Caterpillar. But the best training I’ve received is from the people here who share their experience and knowledge."
