COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Length: 3 x 10-hour days
Target Audience: Technicians and Service Personal

The 793-08A TWN LMT course discusses the operation of the power train, the steering/fan system, the implement hydraulic system, the cooling system, and the VIMS/PLE with the new secondary display on the 793 LMT. Also discussed is the operation of the controls in the operator compartment and the location and identification of the major components of the braking controls and cab system.

PPE Required

Participants must provide their own safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, gloves, hard hat, hearing protection, and coveralls with Hi-Visibility Markings.

PREREQUISITES

None.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Explain the new features and operation of the 793-08A Cab & Operators Station.

• Understand the changes within the Operators Cab.

• Explain the PLE Dual A6 System and its capabilities.

• Introduction to the new Brake Control System and the extra platforms associated; including ABS, DSC and the new eTCS System.

• Understand the added control in the Steering Priority Valve for the new HVAC A/C Compressor Drive.

• Explain the new Type 2 Service Centre with “Live SOS” sample capabilities.

• A general review of the LMT systems that are carried over from the previous 793F LMT models, along with any minor improvements / changes that have taken place. (Steering/Powertrain/Fan system/Hoist/Brake Cooling)

• Explain the P.A.S. (power assisted stairway) system if equipped.
