COURSE DESCRIPTION

The 793F LMT course discusses the operation of the power train, the steering/fan system, the implement hydraulic system, the cooling system, and the VIMS3G with Advisor Display System™ on the 793F LMT. Also discussed is the operation of the controls in the operator compartment and the location and identification of the major components of the C175 ACERT engine.

PPE Required

Participants must provide their own safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, gloves, hard hat, hearing protection, and coveralls with Hi-Visibility Markings.

PREREQUISITES

Prior LMT experience is an advantage.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

   Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Locate and identify all the major 793F LMT machine components. 

  • Locate and identify all filters, dipsticks, indicators, fill tubes, drains and test points. 

  • Locate and identify the major components of the C175 ACERT engine. 

  • Trace the flow of fuel through the C175 ACERT engine fuel delivery system.

  • Trace the flow of air through the C175 ACERT engine air intake system.

  • Trace the flow of coolant through the cooling system of the 793F LMT.

  • Identify and explain the function/operation of each major component in the E.H. steering/fan hydraulic system. 

  • Trace the flow of oil through the E.H. steering/fan hydraulic system and explain its operation.

  • Identify and explain the function/operation of each major component in the power train system.

  • Trace the flow of oil through the power train hydraulic system and explain its operation.

  • Explain the function/operation of each major component in the implement hydraulic/E.H Brake system. 

  • Trace the flow of oil through the implement hydraulic/E.H Brake system and explain its operation. 

  • Locate and identify all the major components in the VIMS3G with Advisor Display System™; and explain the function of each component in the VIMS3G with Advisor Display System™ and explain the system's basic operation at machine start-up.

Successful completion of a written examination with a passing grade of 80%.
