Update: Finning Canada’s Commitment During COVID-19

March 23, 2020

As we navigate these challenging times together, Finning Canada wants to further reassure our customers, suppliers and partners that the safety, health and wellbeing of our communities is our priority. We have put in place robust business continuity plans and procedures that take care of our employees and our customers, whilst remaining committed to providing the exceptional service and product support that our 87-year old brand is known for.

Our plans are continually evolving based on our understanding of the current risk and updates and direction from health authorities and governments where we operate. They include:

  • Identifying and encouraging those who feel unwell not to come to work and supporting them through the recommended self-isolation period.
  • Stopping all non-essential travel as well as supporting flexible work and virtual meeting options for those employees who can or need to work from home.
  • Our service or site-located employees are being supported through increased health and safety procedures, including safe workplace and customer interaction practices, rotational isolation and modified work, where necessary. We are working closely with our customer sites to ensure we comply with all local procedures.
  • We have revised our pay policies to be in line with new government supports available to ensure employees have some certainty and peace of mind through this unsettling time.

We have posted clear signage asking customers to follow good hygiene, practice social distancing and choose online or phone options to engage with us should they feel unwell, including:

  • Our 24/7 contact-us options by calling 1-888-FINNING, using our Click-to-Chat button on Finning.com or by reaching out to your local Finning representative.
  • Our parts ordering and shipping methods, including Parts.Cat.Com, our Ship-to-Me option to have parts delivered directly to you, or our safe and secure Parts Dropboxes – all available 24/7.
  • My.Finning.com to track orders, download invoices, return parts, and view asset information, warranty details and your contract status.
  • We also have plenty of online courses and webinars to help you strengthen your team’s ongoing development
