These capabilities were recently illustrated during the supply and installation of four Cat 3512B electronic diesels and two Cat 3306TA engines matched with 190kw SR4 IMO compliant generators, in a new 1,780 ton ferry. Our marine specialists worked closely with the shipyard and were instrumental in supplying the correct torsional coupling for the installation. During sea-trials, Finning has also worked closely with the owners on dual-fuel testing for a possible future conversion to natural gas.
