COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Length: 3 x 10-hour days
Target Audience: Heavy Equipment Technicians
This course covers a Code of Practice for the reduction of fluorocarbon refrigerant emissions. This code spells out how to minimize or eliminate emissions when manufacturing, installing, operating, maintaining, or disposing of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Environment Canada and Provincial Ministries in partnership with the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) require all those working with refrigerants to complete this course. Once the course has been completed with a pass mark greater than 80%, the participants will receive a Certification from the HRAI. Intended for Journeyman Technicians with a CFC/HFC Certification who are responsible for repairing and troubleshooting of air conditioning systems used on Caterpillar equipment.
