Dori Assaly was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in January 2025. She leads Finning’s global legal team and serves as Compliance Officer. Prior to this, Ms. Assaly was Senior Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Finning. Before joining Finning, Ms. Assaly spent ten years at QLT Inc., a then dual-listed Canadian biopharmaceutical company and SEC issuer, holding roles of increasing responsibility in legal, corporate governance, and business ethics and compliance, serving most recently as Senior Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary. She joined QLT from Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, a leading national law firm, where she practiced corporate and securities law in the Vancouver office across various industry sectors, focussing on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, governance, regulatory compliance and public company disclosure.
Ms. Assaly holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University.
