This has led to us securing numerous new hire contract opportunities, giving us the confidence to invest in new equipment.”

“As our customers are from a range of industries, we need high performing versatile plant and equipment in our fleet, so that we can meet the challenges they face. Equally we need to be offering productive units which are reliable and backed up by the service support our customers expect.”

Apex Plant Group supports both local and multinational customers throughout the UK and has tripled its workforce in the last three years. With new Cat fleet purchases the business continues to expand.

Jake Wright, Territory Sales Manager at Finning, added: “We are seeing strong growth in the plant hire sector driven by housing construction and this is reflected in the increased demand for excavators. We have been working with Apex for some time and it is a significant move by the business to invest in new Caterpillar units.”
